In addition to being your one-stop-shop for all your ceramics and glass fusing supplies needs, Chesapeake Ceramics is committed to furthering the education of art teachers and supervisors in the ceramic arts.

We offer a wide range of in-service and workshop opportunities designed to provide art educators with new techniques and lesson plans to implement in their art rooms. The time, location, topic, and length of the program can be tailored to fit the needs of the educators attending. Sessions can be incorporated into a teacher work day, county wide in-service, after school professional development, or to bring art educators together to revitalize their excitement for the ceramic arts.

Possible session topics include: handbuilding techniques and project examples, wheel throwing 101, glazing techniques, and kiln firing and maintenance. Chesapeake Ceramics also offers glass fusing workshops for art educators. Glass fusing is a very easy and exciting new medium that can be incorporated into any art room.

A minimum of 12 registered participants are required to host a workshop.
