    Do you offer ceramics at your center? Would you like to? (Hint – kiln not required!)

    Learn to effectively manage a community-based ceramics program! This two-day seminar, led by industry experts from Mayco Colors and Chesapeake Ceramics, will include both lecture and hands-on projects to instruct participants in basic proficiency to manage a ceramics program.



    Topics covered:


    Product education  – learn the proper use of glaze, underglaze, slip, specialty glaze, and non-fired colors

    Studio management – develop strategies for inventory and member project tracking

    Techniques – discover new methods of application and decoration using various products

    Kilns – understand the principles of using and maintaining your kiln, for both digital and non-digital models

    Molds – learn how molds can add a new dimension to your ceramics program


    Dates: March 8-9, 2010

    Time 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (lunch included both days)

    Cost: $150 per person ($125 for additional person from your center)
